The Karachi Fashion Week’s third edition for Spring/Summer 2012 collection being organised by the Excellent Events and Entertainment (Triple-E) entered its second day at a local hotel on Friday.
The fashion week is the country’s largest display event being organised under the aegis of the Pakistan Fashion Council (PFC), affiliated with the World Fashion Organisation.
Organisers of the event (Triple-E) introduced the PFC and initiated the trend of fashion weeks on a regular basis in the country.
The thing that distinguishes the event from former fashion presentations was the participation of around 20 fresh female and 15 male models introduced through the event. These models were selected a few months ago through a contest.
The second day of the fashion week displayed works of several prominent designers, including that of a renowned international brand ‘Zara’, works of Indus Higher School’s students, Nina Ajmal, Nadya Mistry, MAK and designer Rizwanullah.
A large number of prominent and fresh models presented the latest fashion designs on stage. They presented dresses of various styles, including Eastern dresses with a touch of Western improvisation. Dresses of various styles, including cocktail, gowns, polka dots, cheetah prints and others were presented with beautiful colours and cuts.
